Arashiyama Area
Arashiyama (嵐山) is a pleasant, touristy area in western Kyoto.
Arashiyama is especially popular during the cherry blossom season and autumn foliage season.
The Togetsukyo Bridge is famous Arashiyama. Many small shops, restaurants and other attractions are found nearby, including Tenryuji Temple, Arashiyama's famous bamboo groves and pleasure boats that are available for rent on the river.

You can access Arshiyama using bus, train, even bicycle, most famous way Kyoto station is using JR line San-In Line to Saga-Arashiyama Station

Bamboo Groves
Free and open for 24 hours.
Famous among Arashiyama, especially during the illumination event.
Close to the groves, you can find several small shops and restaurants.
Togetsukyo Bridge
Free and open for 24 hours.
Built during the Heian Period (794-1185) and recently reconstructed in the 1930s.
You can see plenty of cherry blossoms on the bridge during its seson.

Daikakuji Temple
Open Hours: 9:00 ~ 17:00 (entry until 16:30)

Sagano Scenic Railway
Operation time: 9:00 ~ 16:00
Closed on : Every Wednesday
from December 30th to the end of February
(except for national holidays, during the spring and summer vacation periods or the autumn foliage season)
Admission fee : 620 JPY for one way,
between Torokko Saga Station and Torokko Kameoka Station

120 minutes tour surrounded by gorgeous year-round scenery
